Welcome to the Impossible Baldi Mod! This mod introduces several challenging changes to the gameplay of Baldi's Basics. Here's what you need to know:
- Principle of the Thing is strict: In this mod, Principle of the Thing is extra vigilant. If he catches you misbehaving, you will be put in detention for 80+ seconds in minimum, with a maximum detention time of 1000 seconds. Be careful not to get caught! (Theres a method I use to survive the long detention at the end of this guide)
- Playtime is addicted to playing: Playtime, the jumping rope enthusiast, has become even more persistent. Instead of jumping rope 5 times, she now jumps rope 10 times before allowing you to continue. Keep an eye out for her and plan your moves accordingly.
- Harder Math Questions: Get ready to exercise your brain! The math questions in this mod have become more challenging. Instead of simple addition and subtraction, you will now encounter dividing and multiplying questions. Sharpen your math skills to succeed!
- Anti-hearing tape is glitched: The anti-hearing tape, which usually gives you 30 seconds of silence, has a glitch in this mod. It now only provides 5 seconds of relief from Baldi's relentless hearing. Use it wisely and strategize your moves accordingly.
Long Detention Survival Method: During those lengthy detentions, you can use a survival method to endure the punishment. Here's how:
- Get in detention by getting caught by Principle of the Thing.
- Make sure you have the anti-hearing tape in your possession.
- As soon as you receive the punishment, quickly equip the anti-hearing tape and put it inside the tape player in the detention office.
- Stand in the corner of the detention room and wait patiently while the long detention time finishes.
- Baldi will not check the detention room, giving you a chance to survive without being caught.
Please keep in mind that as an early release, this mod may encounter bugs or glitches. If you come across any issues, kindly report them to help us improve the mod for future updates.

And in-case, backup your game files!
1. Download the Mod ZIP Folder: Begin by downloading the mod ZIP folder from Gamebanana or itch.io. Save it to a location on your computer where you can easily access it.
2. Locate the Assembly-CSharp.dll File: Open the downloaded mod ZIP folder and locate the Assembly-CSharp.dll file. This file contains the necessary modifications for the mod to work properly.
3. Navigate to Baldi's Basics Installation Directory: Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) and navigate to the directory where you installed Baldi's Basics. This is usually the folder where the game is stored.
4. Open the BALDI_DATA Folder: Within the Baldi's Basics installation directory, locate and open the BALDI_DATA folder. This folder contains important game files.
5. Open the Managed Folder: Inside the BALDI_DATA folder, locate and open the Managed folder. This is where the game's core code files are stored.
6. Replace the Assembly-CSharp.dll File: Take the Assembly-CSharp.dll file from the mod ZIP folder and drag it into the Managed folder. If you receive a prompt asking to replace an existing file, confirm the replacement. This step ensures that the mod's modifications are properly applied to the game.
7. Launch Baldi's Basics: With the mod file successfully placed in the Managed folder, launch Baldi's Basics as you normally would. The mod should now be active, and you can experience the changes it brings to the game.
